Black Friday - Is it a con?
I've heard a couple of 'experts' on the radio saying that Black Friday is a con trying to whip consumers up into a shopping frenzy and there actually aren't that many bargains to be had and I honestly feel like I have to agree. I'm after a Nintendo Switch and the cheapest price I could find a new one at on Black Friday was £237.99 down from £249 the day before. I am pretty confident the price will drop even further at some point in the run up to Christmas. I reckon retailers drop their prices a little on Black Friday to make us feel like we're getting a good deal but actually save their best deals until nearer Christmas when they're trying to tempt people with big last-minute purchases. The only deals I think were decent were travel and hotel deals where you could buy vouchers for 20% off etc...
Did anyone grab a good deal? I didn't buy a single thing in the end.
